Madame Tussauds London Tour

Well hello there! Come with us as we take an updated tour of Madame Tussauds in London. With its first permanent home opening in 1836, Madame Tussauds is still one of the top attractions in London.

Located in Central London close to Baker Street Station, it is easily accessible by London Underground and bus services also.

We managed to get to the doors for opening and were among the first to enter, we would recommend you make this a first on your list, as it can get fairly busy as the day goes on. On entrance to the attraction you go into the first room which contains wax works of some of the worlds most well known A-list celebs such as George Clooney, Harry and Megan, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Dua Lipa, Helen Mirren, Angelina Jolie and much more.

As you venture further within, you encounter some Aliens, and come out the other side next to King Kong, and other legends. It is after this room you come to a separate experience called 'The Sherlock Holmes Experience' which is a theatrical experience taking you on a gripping journey that will transport you to some of the most famous places and moments from the popular stories. This is an additional £5 (when purchased online), you can also purchase tickets on the day. We didn't do this experience on this trip. More celebs await as you venture through, including the Royal Family, Sporting Superstars and Musical Icons. Taylor Swift is one of the most recent additions to appear at Madame Tussauds London and is the centre of the music hall.

A Marvel 4D experience awaits which is immersive and thrilling, however, you can skip this if you get motion sickness, can't deal with 4D motion or, like us, have seen it too many times before. You then enter the Star Wars area and are greeted with the many characters that have filled cinema screens in the past. Obviously our favourite would be Yoda and Chewbacca. Ray and BB8 are also here! At the end of the walkthrough, we took a quick look at the merchandise on offer in the gift shop!

We would recommend purchasing tickets in advance to save on queuing, however, be aware to check promotional offers! As a member of the Merlin Group, you can receive 2 for 1 vouchers online, or with certain products for sale at your local grocery store. You can also enter at massively discounted rates if you have travelled into London with a National Rail ticket which is valid for that day!
